I lost my beloved Misha this afternoon. She seemed perfectly fine Sunday night when I have everyone their petblock before I went to work. Came home this morning and I could hear her labored breathing as soon as I walked into the rat room. Called the vet and took her in this afternoon. Per my wonderful vet even with antibiotics she would only live a couple of days and the qualtity of life would not be there. We made the decision to end her suffering. Misha was 18 month old siamese rat. She was the most wonderful welcome rat whenever I brought home baby rats. She always mothered them as if they were her own babies. I took Penelope and Peso in also to be checked as they were in the same cage with her. They seem fine.
