Snitch has gotten worse again, and he is supposed to go to the vet tomorrow to get the lump removed. I'm afraid he may be suffering too much to let him go on, though. He now lies down almost constantly, and his entire belly is covered in urine. His nose is stained with poryphin and his forepaws as well. The scabbing has not changed but he is limp and floppy, he seems exhausted.

I am going to ask the vet what they think but I also want your opinions.. Do you think now is his time?

Is he on pain meds? Pain can cause a lot of symptoms. Poor love. I think just wait til today and see what your vet says. ((hugs))

He chose for himself and died sometime between five and seven AM, I think about six thirty. Whatever it was was simply too agressive for him, it was obviously time.

RIP my lovely little boy, BYB or not you were very special to me and I am very sorry to see you go..you're in a better place now, without any pain.

I am so very sorry Kinsey, I think that tumor was like the tip of the iceberg for your lovely boy. ((hugs))

I think you are probably right- his genetics all came crashing down on top of him all at once. I found him lying on the cage floor, eyes open. He almost looked asleep. His heart must have just stopped suddenly, but he is no longer suffering.

Romeo and Rosebud seem to be okay, at some point I'll get a pair of boys for them. Romeo seems so healthy, but as Snitch just proved- they go so fast. He's so old that something genetic could pop up at any time.
