I have two rats, and I'm very worried about one because one of my rats has green poop. It's been going on for about a week. Do I need to take them to the vet? Could it be her diet? I haven't changed it at all

Also, I found that one is fine when i bring her outside, but the other (the one with green poop)is very afraid when I take her outside to sit on my shoulder (usually when I go outside to smoke I'll bring her with me:), I figure the fresh air is good for them). She poops a lot when she goes outside (she's maybe been out there 3 times). And she poops a lot when she's out there, and I've noticed they only do that when they're scared or in a new situation. Should I keep bringing her outside to help her get over her fear?

I would leave them both inside since you are negating any fresh air factor by smoking near them. She's obviously not happy about it and it can be dangerous with a rat that might jump the wrong way or run.

Have you added more green veggies to her diet?

No, I haven't. And I bring them outside even when I don't smoke. I like to eat my lunch outside on my deck, because I live in an apartment with a beautiful backyard. Then never run away from me. They love sitting on my shoulder and I don't sit or stand where they could get away

I don't want her to be scared, Will she get used to the situation? I mean, when I first got her she would poop even when I first picked them up. And when I moved into my new apartment I would bring them to my desk to do homework and sit on the couch with me. Which Anne Boleyn was scared of both places at first. Anne of Cleves seems to be much braver. Could there be any reason for that? I got them at the same time from the same place, and I'm pretty sure they're sisters because they are so similar looking.

But seriously, do I need to take them to the vet? I'm very very concerned!
