I have a year old male rat, Moe, who has labored breathing but no other symptoms. He's had ex-rays, and his lungs are fine and no obvious masses. He is energetic, eats like a piggy and his behavior is normal. No hunching over, no bristly fur, and no prophryn that I can see. Right now he's on his second run of antibiotics. His first was Doxy .3 mls and baytril .14 mls for 10 days, and now he,s on SMZ-TMP .4 mls every 12 hours. He's had a cortisone injection and he's getting .02 mls of Buprenex to see if that would make his breathing easier.

Has anyone come across this before. Both my Vet and I are stumped.
