Ale is back, for those of you that might remember me. And a warm hello to the members that I have yet to become acquainted with! I was very active a few years back with the site and when I didn't have rats for a brief time, I stopped posting. Last year when I got a male named Franklin, I did post a little but fell off the face of the earth again. So here I am *jazzhands* Franklin, my PEW passed away a few months ago. Right now I have two brother white and black hooded rats; Rexxxy & Cumberland. And my newest addition named Clint Eastwood; a black and white Berkshire. All of them are wonderful, though Rexxxy is a bit of a brute, Cumberland is a little shy and Clint is a hyper little youngster. But they get along great! They are very social and affectionate most of the time, which is really nice. I am glad to be back in the rat community and have these amazing creatures back in my life. My friend has a black and white Berkshire female that she wants to rehome and asked me if I was interested in taking her in with a free cage. I am not 100% on that idea just yet, but I know that my sister would house her in her bedroom to keep males and females out of the same room. But taking on another female would mean getting her a cagemate or two. So that in on the fence. But I wanted to say that I am back and I will be roaming around the site, making threads and helping out my fellow members. I have owned 15+ rats in the past few years, have done much research and am working on taking vet courses. So I feel I am a well educated rat owner. When I went to go and pick them up to bring them home I noticed the cage they were in had wire bottem and an all wire shelve and I new I had to get them out of there, there cage looked like it hasn't been cleaned in like Months! So I took them and as soon as I got home with them I got them out of that old cage and put them in there bigger new cage I had waiting for them. I'm Sahnonnah, 22 years old and I'm from the Netherlands. I have 6 rats, 3 males and 3 females. They are annoying little things who like to tease me in any possible way but I love them to bits. They make me smile a lot. When one of my rats turned out to be pregnant (which lead to 16 rats and now 6 :/) I read a lot of helpful information on this forum, and today I've finally decided to sign up. :)
