According to the Rat Cage Calculator, this cage can house up to 4 rats if allowing 2 cubic feet per rat.

Here is the actual cage:


Included with the cage are 2 full shelves, 1 shelf with feeder bowl/tunnel access hole with food bowl, 3 ramps (2 black, 1 reddish), 1 blue hammock and 1 blue 11 inch wire wheel. The cage arrived with one broken ramp (which was replaced) and the wheel is a bit warped but works just fine. The cage is less than 2 months old and has been thoroughly cleaned every 5-6 days.

I'm asking $50 firm for the cage, wheel and hammock. I also have most of a small bag of aspen shavings and most of a bag of Carefresh ProEarth crinkle bedding I'll throw in as well. I would prefer local pick up - I'd really like to avoid attempting to ship this cage, if possible.

Its dimensions are 30" wide by 18.5" by 48" tall. Not sure how old it is, as I got it used myself. I am moving and cannot take it with me. It has some rusty c-rings and a little bit on door latches, but these are easily replaced from the manufacturer for a few dollars. The bottom pan is galvanized metal, but I have a can of spray paint ready to go to solve that problem. It's a really a nice cage, but I can't fit it in my car to move it. All it needs is a cleaning and she's ready to rock. I will be posting a Craigslist ad as well.
