This is good information - but I think you need to make the difference very clear that those methods will not work (and can put the owner in danger of a bite) for rats with hormonal aggression.

If the rat is cage aggressive, putting hands in the cage can be very difficult and can result in nasty bites.

If it is known or suspected that aggression is due to being unsocialised then that is one thing and the sticky is applicable - but I would possibly add a section on handling hormonally aggressive rats as a completely different subject matter.

I agree that stuff would be valuable to add. And maybe add on how to tell the difference between types of aggresion.

I'm not sure how to handle aggressive rats personally but I could look into it and add information.  I kind of wrote that on a whim last night after depriving myself of sleep so I know there is some stuff that I missed.  Thanks for the help  Cheesy

Get another memebr to help you then. When I did the first aid stuff I had lilspaz help me out becasue she knows so much about that stuff. Ask for another member to help you and use both your ideas.

I would totally help but I have a possible case of Sendai running through my colony and I cannot commit to anything time sensitive...I am just trying to keep my babies alive.  Sad
