Today..well I guess yesterday really, I finished up 2 new cage accessories for Poppy and Pumpkin. They got a new hammock and a cozy cube, the hammock was started a while ago but just finished it up and the cube was started and finished the same day. Both were made out of fleece and both were a pain in the neck to get to sew up right. But in the end it was totally worth it. They both LOVE the cube and they both really enjoy the hammock.

For the girl's first Christmas I asked for a new Rat Manor for them, since they can't ask for themselves. They are having a field day running up and down the ramps and jumping from level to level. It's the most entertaining thing I've seen all week.

It seriously makes me really happy. At first he was a little 'eh' about rats and would never pet my first boy, Lucky, just look from afar. But now with Poppy and Pumpkin he holds them and hugs them, feeds, waters, and even helps me keep an eye on them on cage cleaning day. The girls even groom him. I'm so glad they have all learned to love one another!

Here in town the first week of October is the Fall Festival. It's like the second largest street fair thing in the US and it's right in my way. Anyway, I was down there all day today with my boyfriend and our friends and I feel really bad about not being home with Poppy and Pumpkin until just in the past hour with nothing really to do. So now they're running around all over me and my bed, getting into my cotton candy and my purse and backpack.
