    Hi guys,

    I need some advice.
I recently had to seperate one of my rats from the other two for aggression issues and have just had him neutered but on the evening i had it done i left the pet carrier on the floor and my other two rats sniffed it and totally freaked out.
They wont come out for out time, they are totally subdued in the extreme whereas they normally happily bounce around having fun.
Why have they reacted this way and will it pass.?
This is day two and still no change in their mood.
They refuse to come out of the cage for out time and ive only seen them sneak out once for food in the cage.

Probably the smell of the rat they knew and a strange smell. They might just assume the worst, think about it your other rat probably smelled of antiseptic and because he was injured by the surgery probably smelled of pain. I swear rats can smell pain on eachother!
