Twwo females fighting
I have two females that I got who are always fighting at night. They will sleep together and are okay around each other with the food dish and water bottle. they even try to drink together. But after it gets dark and I usually go to bed i am woken up by squeaking and a lot of noise from them wrestling and fighting. Is this just dominance fighting? I don't see any injuries, but it has gone every night since I got them on Friday. Is this normal? Will it stop eventually? What should I do?

Re: Twwo females fighting
My three do that. Their more active at night, and the two of them will wrestle and chase each other up and down the cage until they're exhausted. If they're fine everywhere else, I wouldn't think it's dominance. They're just being rowdy :P

Rats are obviosuly nocturmal and they do wrestle, chase each other, squeek, etc... As long as theres major injuries or increasing injuries they are just playing. If you start seeing a lot of marks besides a scratch here and there there fine.
