She is a young'un...7-9 weeks maybe?

She's a cutie...now I just have to bug you to get her a friend, unless you are planning on altering one of the sexes so they can all live together?
I'm not sure if my mom is going to let me have 4 rats and it's not real likely that my males are gonna be neutered. Probably what I will do is let her and one of my males have small interactions every now and then with CLOSE supervision.Originally Posted by lilspaz68

Ummm...Big Mistake. Mating takes seconds, literally a blink...and the girl goes in heat every 4-5 days so its just not worth it. It would probably be best if you rehome her so she can have friends, but if you are unwilling to, then you need to have her out ALL the time to make sure she's not as lonely. but even then its not ideal as you are definitely not a rat, and cannot talk to her in subsonic sounds, cuddles with her, groom her etc.Originally Posted by RatMan141
You should get Lola spayed, then she could live with your males, or rehome her. It is unfair to keep her alone and she will be unhappy.
She cannot interact with your males AT ALL. As lilspaz said, it only takes seconds.
Slave to 4 lovely ratties; Romeo, Marlena, Louis, and Mendel, along with 23 other lovely creatures whom are feathered, furred, or scaly, and all my family.
Sleep peacefully- Snitch, Rosebud, and Tickles. I love you still.

Good to know that Lola will have a friend soon
Something I just recently learned, incase you do decide to spay/neuter so they can have a play date. Males take about 2 weeks to "recover" and be safe around females, while females only need a day or two to recover
You have some beautiful ratties!
Proud Mama to:
Cats: Allegra Charles and Garfield
Rats: Tali, Anya and Piper
Betta: Ithil
I'm assuming you have neutered males? How much did it cost you to have your males neutered? If you have spayed females, how much did it cost? And thank youOriginally Posted by JadeAngel
