Default New babies coming home Aug 24th!!!!

So, the breeder sent me pics of my new baby ratties! They are both boys, pearl merles, hooded and one is dumbo eared. I'm so excited!

ps A question from my mom: Can rats have bones to chew on? What about antlers?

and now the joy of picking names...I don't even know where to start, though I'm sure it will be easier once they are here and their personalities start to emerge.

    Cuties!!

Idk what other members may say, but I know I have given Antlers to my rats, I got them for my dogs, but they did not like them. The rats very much enjoyed them however.

As for bones, yes they can. they love chicken bones and rib bones.
I'm not sure about chewing bones for dogs however, and I'm not sure about antlers.

thank-you for the replies! I'll tell my mom about the bones, I figured the big beef bones for dogs from the pet store should be okay as they aren't any different than rib bones, and they are roasted and basted in flavorings and as far as the antlers go, here in Manitoba you aren't allowed to collect shed antlers in the wild because they are an important source of calcium for wild rodents like gophers, mice, squirrells which would also include wild rats, so I thought they would probably be okay as well but I'm glad I asked. I'm sure I'll be asking alot of questions in the very near future!
