Question How do you keep liners down?

I am new to rats and I seem to have run into a bit of a problem....

I switched to using a towel as a liner from Carefresh a few days ago because the boys I got about three weeks ago were bothered by the dust. The switch has definitely cut down on the sneezes, but now I can't seem to figure out a way to keep the liners in place! I have the All Living Things Luxury Pet Rat Home (it's identical to the Super Pet Exotics cage, just different brand) and due to the deep pan I can't use binder clips like people use in CNs and FNs. I tried gluing Velcro to the bottom of the cage but it didn't hold (and the poop just got smeared in the little hooks ). Anyone have any suggestions?

I used to have that cage! What you could is put the towel down into the pan and make sure the ends are a couple inches bigger than the pan. Then just put the cage overtop the towel. I don't know how to explain it so I'll insert an image I found on googleClosedCage.jpg

That is an excellent idea that I hadn't even considered. The bottom pan is a little strangely shaped so it might now work, but it is worth trying for sure.
