You will want to go with the same sex. Otherwise you will end up with a lot of pregnancies! Unless you find a neautered male. You will want too quartine the other rat for a minimum of 3 weeks in another air space meaning : a friends house and if you can't do that in another room where you can close the door and make sure you wash and change your clothes before playing with Miley too make sure they do not have any illness then that can be transferred to your rat. After that is over place the cages next too each other you will need a seperate cage so they can get used too each others smell and so on. You can also transfer the paper you use for them over too each others cage throughout the process. There will be huffing most likely I would do this for a bout a week. After that introduce them in a neauteral territory a place where Miley does not go there maybe a lot of squeaking and alot of infighting this is when the rule No Blood No Foul comes into play. If she draws blood you will have too repeat the steps from placing the cages next too each other once again. Then it's time too intro them in Miley's play area and see how it goes. I would keep this up for a week if all goes well you will want too fully clean and rearrange Miley's cages so it doesn't look like her cage. They will be playing a game or a rat fight of the dominate role. They will pin squeak and so on again No blood no foul. Once someone submits you should be okay
