Hello!
My name is Robyn and I have two rats, Domo and Junior. I've known them impersonally for a little while but I recently adopted them from some friend's of mine. They're a little up there in age (Domo, I was told, is going on 3) but they're super friendly and trusting and it seems that they're eager to work on a bond with my boyfriend and I <3
They also seem to be willing to put up with our cat! Haha :)
I know a lot about rats, both from research and first-hand experience. Last fall my boyfriend adopted two "male" rats from my work and, well, only one turned out to actually be a male. We had a litter of 10 on our hands and we had great success raising them and adopting them out. Unfortunately, we weren't vigilant enough and didn't have a second cage prepared for the male when the pups showed up (they were a huge surprise, we didn't even realize what was going on until the female started getting hugely fat and then BOOM, babies lol) and they had a second litter of 12 around Christmas last year.
So if you have any questions about raising babies, feel free to send me a PM because I can probably help you :) And remember that if you're unsure of your rat's gender, you should probably separate it until you know for certain lol.
As for my other pets... I have a cat named Fish, a 6" Tiger Oscar named Darth Vader, and three bettas named Kissy Face, Dog, and Morgenstern.
I look forward to meeting everyone and I hope to have some good pictures of Domo and Junior soon!
