Default Any experience with Healx Booster?

Hi! My vet put my three girls on Healx Booster to, hopefully, improve their immune sysytems. Penelope has been on antibiotics three times and the two lil girls were on them for 2 & 3 weeks while in quarantine. They all got a clean bill of health but are on an antihistamine twice a day to see if allergies are at play & the vet ordered the Booster which just came in today. Information that I was given with it says that it has antibacterial, antiviral, anti fungal & anti protozoan properties & boosts the immune system. Sounds like it has vitamins or pre-cursors to vitamins E, A, K and others.Just curious if anyone else has used it and what your results were. Thanks in advance!

If anyone knows anything, I would also be interested in hearing it. My vet just suggested we try a baytril/doxy combo (we were saving that for when the myco was being very stubborn) and she mentioned how some people swear by Healx. It's a little expensive for me to try if it's just snakeoil, but I am desperate.

I've heard about this before, I believe there's a youtube video review about it also. I've only heard success stories about it so I'm wanting to at least try it out. If I remember right from the video, the girl gives her rats about .5 ml per rat every day, so the bottle lasts a while.

It should last quite a while. It is a one ounce bottle & my older girl gets .02 ml and the younger two get .01 ml each once a day. So far mine take it pretty easily! It is thick, almost like a semi solid oil so you have to run the bottle under hot water to thin it out to draw it into the syringe easier. I hope it works! The bottle was $30 from my vet but they even said I may be able to find it cheaper online. Having three ratties now, if it works, it will be less expensive than antibiotics in the long run! I was telling my husband about it the day I picked it up and he asked, "why is it when folks have an infestation of rats they can't kill them off, but as pets they seem to be on the brink of death every week?". He was exaggerating but ours have been puny a lot! I hope this helps!!

I use it. But it shouldn't be used to treat URI but more as a preventative It helps them boost their immune system - and at the very least they get a soft shiny coat! My girls love it - they don't like it as a liquid so I let it set in the syringe then it comes out like spaghetti - they go crazy for it! I look as it as a good addition for them and something to help their immune system. Since they have been on it I haven't had any flare ups*touch wood* - even one girl who had a URI for about 3 months in the past - but if they did get a flare up I would definitely take them to the vet as this isn't an antibiotic.

So on the whole, for me, it seems to help as a preventive, and keep their coats soft and shiny!!

I didn't mean to imply that it is an alternative to an antibiotic. What I was trying to say is that I hope it's positive effects on their immune systems will results in better overall health & no more uri's or myco flare ups! I would take them to the vet in a heartbeat if I think they need an antibiotic!!
