I currently have 2 intact females, aged 1 year and 7 months. I want to get a young male to add to the group since I prefer males and my boyfriend stole the hearts of the females. I plan to get the male neutered as soon as possible so I can add him to the group. I'm worried that the 2 females will fight over the male. Is this a concern? The younger female is the more dominant one, the other just goes with the flow and is kinda lazy. I don't want to add a male if it will cause problems with the 2 ladies.

I would say rather than getting a young boy and neutering when hes old enough, potentially leaving him on his own for several weeks or even months, either get an older rescue lad thats already neutered or already on his own or get 2 young boys and get them neutered together. That way you can give them a bit of time growing up together before you neuter them and intro them to the girls. Its much kinder to introduce babies in pairs as well.
