Check by doing the usual three week quarantine in a separate airspace. A lot of owners will treat for mites whether or not they show any signs.

If you're still worried after not noticing anything within that three week period you could have her taken to the vets for a check-up just to make sure.

What Wench said - quarantine is the key. I haven't heard of any UK diseases, per se - none that are different to what have been posted here, anyway.

Theres someone else viewing her just now so Im waiting for an email to say if I can have her. I hope she goes to someone nice-the woman had spent £135 on a cage water bottles and whatnot and 6months worth of pine dust :( hope she gets to move in with a wee friend and gets looked after. ooh Im all nervous :)
