My baby boy Diego is starting to show a few small signs of a URI so I started him on Amoxicillin yesterday and am hoping that helps, if it starts to get worse I'll take him to the vet but in the meantime I wanted to ask if any of you guys have tried this for your rats and if so how did it work out? Thanks!

Great! I often refer to that RMCA page as well as the [RatGuide website] for dosing info.

...just a note on math, though. The RMCA page recommends 10 mg/lb (10 mg of medicine for every 1 lb of your rat's weight) so if your rat weighs 1.5 lb, you'd want to give him 15 mg of amox.

Yeah, I'm just scared to dose him too much but I'll move the dosage up to 15mg I've had him on it for three days now and have been using a humidifier and he's already showing signs of recovery 🥳
