Well I just got back from the store and got some more yarn. This stuff is awesome! Its called Angel Hair and it comes in all sorts of colors.

Im gettign sick of making normal hammocks and tube hammocks so Im gonna try and make some conor ones and some envelope style ones (seen on Nights link! Thats a great idea Night!) as well.

hey hey hey! JUST A THOUGHT.

a long time ago, my friend's guinea pig died of an accumulation of yarn in her intestines, from nibbling the corners off a knitted blanket. do your rats ever chew on the stuff you knit/crochet them? because i would def be way too worried to ever give her yarn. i know that guinea pig's digest in their lower intestines (like cows) more than rats do, so i don't know if that makes a difference, but still...

i got really excited after you said that they won't eat yarn hammocks and i went to hobby lobby and (sign from above) yarn was on sale! i started knitting a hammock, but it has definitely been a few years since i made the one and only scarf and hat set i ever knitted. i had to go back and buy some reasonable yarn so that i could SEE the string and actually knit with it, lol.

have you ever knitted a triangular hammock? i was just wondering what the best way to go about that might be... :D
