One of my friends just called and said he has to get rid of his two male rats or get evicted from his apartment. He's giving one to his sister, and asked me to take the other (the rats do not like each other at all and don't live together). I said no, but there's no where else the rat could go, so I told him I'd think about it.

I don't know why the two rats don't get along. They may not have been properly introduced (he's had them since before I got rats/knew anything about them). I got Rokk neutered with the intention of putting him in with my girls, but now I'm wondering if he and my friend's rat could cohabit peacefully? Would an intact male still show aggression toward a neutered male? Especially with intact females right across the room? I can't afford another neuter right now, so that's not an option.

Hopefully he can find another home for his rat... :?

The intact females might cause problems, but would a neutered male smell like a threat to an intact male? I don't know.
