My rats are lacking proper chewing surfaces and the vet suggested apricot tree twigs, since that's what she has, or a certain type of palm tree we have locally, but there are two varieties and one of them is toxic, and not being savvy I'm not chancing it. I do have a persimmon tree and a walnut tree available, which have plenty of dry twigs. Any issues with either of these potentially being toxic? I figure the persimmon is the best bet since it's an edible fruit tree, but ya never know.
