My girls need a bath. But..the pet store near my house only has Rabbit/guinea pig shampoo. x_x Is that ok or will it kill them?

Could you not just wash them with water?
Shampoo will upsett the balance of oils in the fur. They will also ingest what ever is on their fur during grooming

See, they SMELL. Like urine. @[email protected] And water doesnt seem to get rid of that. Plus they're horrible at washing their tail, so that's not a pretty sight either.

try using just regular johnson and johnson baby shampoo that is what i always use.

i don't see why rabbit/guinea pig shampoo would be harmful to them but if it makes you feel any better, people use either baby shampoo or those for kittens cuz they're both very gentle and such.

I use the Johnsons and Johnsons Baby Wash, same thing as the shampoo for babies but it's an entire body wash that is more gentle than the shampoo. Makes my rats soft and unscented. :lol:

Small animal shampoo should be perfectly safe, but as many suggested, baby shampoo is fine too.

There's no real problem of ingesting shampoo if they are rinsed well.

An occasional bath isn't much of a problem, but bathing often will upset the oils.

Stick with the Johnson and Johnson, its cheaper and you know the product.
