As gross as it sounds, it seems like one of my girls is bleeding from (some of) her nipples. She doesn't seem to be in any pain- she's actually been acting normal. I got her about three weeks ago, and I was told that she was around two months old. We called a vet yesterday, and they said that she had probably just been scratched by one of my other rats. Should I begin applying neosporin now, or wait?

Ehhh, I don't know if Neosporin is toxic if ingested? If so, you definitely don't want to do that...it actually sounds like a secretion if it is coming specifically from the nipples, rather than a scratch...

Neosporin is fine and ought to be apply soon in a cut situation, as rats heal very quickly (as in, a cut will scab and nearly close overnight).

If she's still bleeding tomorrow I'd call the vet again. It could be something more serious.
