branches in cage

Is it safe to use driftwood for rats? I've baked it before to use in a snake cage, so I could bake it to get rid of anything living in it. I was wondering if it was safe for them to chew on.

I think the only woods harmful for rats are pine and cedar, I dunnow about driftwood. It would seem safe to me.

Just be sore to get other opinions before you do, because I'm not quite sure.
