Hey all,
I have my regular two rats I got a couple weeks ago, they are really warming up to us. Someone contacted me today about two young rats that really need a home and came with Multilevel cage. I agreed and they dropped them off.

The cage is THAT bad, but the ramps and other level is wire. It will have to do until I can introduce them and move them all into my big cage. But is the wire going to be ok for the 2-3 weeks until I can move them? Or should I just go buy something to put on it?

It should be fine, but if you're worried you can clip some fleece onto it with binder clips :) Congrats on the new rats!

Wire really isn't bad unless it's not cleaned properly. Like ratbasket said though, if you're worried, just put something over it.

I agree that it's going to be fine for a little while. Wire really isn't bad. Its only bad if it's not clean. If you are worried than again you can put fleece or even old fabric or towels.
