I was wondering if broccoli was safe to feed raw to my rats, I looked at the safe foods list and broccoli is on there but I wanted to check if raw was okay.

Raw broccoli is fine - if they'll eat it.

It can sometimes cause gas if given too much, but a little bit should be good for them.

As with every new food I would feed them a tiny bit and see if they like it and if it agrees with them but in general as far as I know raw broccoli is fine.

I give my rats frozen broccoli (I run it under water to thaw it), they love it. It's my boy's favourite.
