I had some seed mix food I had bought and was keeping in a metal tin. Their wasn't bugs in it when I got it, at least not that I noticed. But today I noticed these bugs crawling on my hamsters cage (i had just given him a fresh bowl of food). I wasn't sure where they came from but I cleaned the whole cage and went to get him a new bowl of food when I noticed them crawling in the food. I have no idea what kind they are but they must have been in the food when i got it, or at least their eggs were. The tin closes tightly and we do not have bugs anywhere else in the house. They were black and had this pointy horn looking thing on the front of them. kind of made me think of a rhinoceros or something. anyone have any idea what they could be?

No idea what they are, but definitely toss the mix and get them new food.

Weevils... that makes sense. Sometimes they can get packaged with the food.
