I really wasn't sure where to post this, but I think this is okay.

A pet store (pruess) has an Oxbow Regal Rat bulk dispenser thingy and its $3.00 per pound. Is it a good deal? Should I even get it from a bulk bin? I freeze all my food anyway in case of mites and other critters, but since its from a dispenser its out in the open and who knows what could have come into contact with it.

I pay about $12 for a 3 pound bag, so it would be cheaper to get it out of the bin. I have no idea how safe it would be, though... hopefully someone else can answer that question for you!

How many rats are you feeding with three pounds? I have two boys so...

I have four girls, and three pounds actually lasts me a long time- but that's because I do a Suebee's mix. If they only got Regal Rat, I think I would go through a bag about once a month... but the Suebee's mix makes it last a LOT longer.

Oh yea, I don't do the Suebee's mix so it would probably go a lot faster...
