so recently i noticed that my rat drags his back feet behind him [though still very active] at first i thought it was just because hes getting old [he's just over 3] but then i realized he has bumblefoot.

i can't afford to take him to the vet but i do want to make him more comfortable. i've lowered his hammock so its easier for him to get in and lined the floors with fleece.

anything else i can do?

My girl seems to have poorly feet sometimes, and she clenches them up and sometimes they look a little swollen (its always one or the other, but never 2 at once....)

We initially thought arthritis, and once when she was off the foot for a few days, she had an anti-inflammatory injection.

Its recurring though, and I didnt want to bring her to the vet everytime there was a problem, so the vet gave us some metacam as a painkiller/anti inflammatory and after one dose she was fine.

The metacam comes in quite a large bottle so the vet said to use it whenever she needs it.
