Gus was my massive, squishy black berkshire heart rat. He was the sweetest, fattest rattie I've ever had.
Its been a few weeks since he passed, but even as I type these words I can't help but cry. I decided to have him put to sleep due to some neurological problems that were causing him to deteriorate very quickly. He was almost 2 1/2 when I let him go. His favorite foods were banana, boiled egg, and basically anything that was edible. He loved to snuggle, and have his head scratched, and he loved loved loved exploring around the bedroom. (He is the only rat I've trusted not to destroy things, or poop outside the cage.) So goodbye my heart rat. Until we meet again at the rainbow bridge.
