My cage arrived yesterday and have been put together.

Should I fill with substrate now whilst I am searching for Rats to buy or should I wait until purchase of rats is confirmed?

I don't know how long it will be until I get them but I am actively looking & messaging people.

I'm not sure where you are in the UK, there is a breeder in London, Croydon.
The rats are extremely well handled and very friendly. He always has babies that need homes.

I would get the cage completely ready and set up before buying the rats, this gives everything to settle. Dust from the substrate will have settled instead of floating around etc.

Thank you, I did see them having rats available but I'm based in Bristol and theres only 1 listing on preloved for a local seller. Nothing anywhere else or on other sites. I don't drive and my husband certainly won't drive me up to collect them from London.

Ah perfect I wanted to set everything up but wasn't sure on if that was correct
