well i have 2 cages 1 for my girls and one for my boy the girls have a plastic bottom in their cage and he has coated wire on the bottom. i have see in many pics that many do not use any bedding in the bottoms. is this better not to use anything or just what you like. i have been using shreaded paper in both cages. is this ok or should i stop using? :?

Many people who don't put bedding in the bottom have litter box trained rats.... I would, at least, put fabric or something over the wire bottomed cage, to make it more comfy. Else, shredded paper works for den building, but it doesn't absorb odor well.
