We will soon be loosing one, if not both, of our two oldest girls. Jazmyne and Sophie, at 2 years and 3 months, are starting to decline. Jazmyne has very large tumors that are beginning to affect her motorskills and her enjoyment of life. They appear to be causing some pain. And Sophie, who has never accepted any other rat, is developing a tumor on her side. We are discussing having them PTS together because neither would be happy without the other..

In light of that, we are looking to sell the cages they have been housed in. It will just be too painful to see them. Because they were a pair, since Sophie would not accept other rats, there are certain cages we associate directly with them.
------------------------------------------------------------------
The first is a large SuperPet cage. It is 34Wx22Dx19H As with most SP cages, the bar spacing is 1in. The cage is more suited for guinea pigs or a ferret, but it would make a very awesome cage for a disabled and/or aging rat. It can hold up to 4 rats according to the calculator. The top of it curves upwords in a shallow arc.

There is minor damage to the one shelf and ladder included with this cage. One of the places that connected it to the side was broken and one chip was also taken out of the ladder connection (but it still stayed connected with no problems). And we've rigged a way to continue use of the level itself.

It has one large front door, one on the right side, and another on the top.

We paid, I believe, $180 for the cage, but we found after the fact that it was wayyy overpriced. We are asking $50 o.b.o.
Shipping at buyers expense and I make no quarantee that I could find a good box.. That and it's pretty heavy.

We also have a Super Pet 10gal. tank topper we bought for $34. It was used as a nursing mothers cage when she needed more space to get away from roaming babies. And it was used as a hopsital cage a couple times. The house won't be included, but all three levels and both ladders will come with it. The house was badly chewed by our two youngest little boys.

We're asking $12. Shipping is available. It collapses quite well and isn't very heavy.

Another large cage will be added later. Some bird cage types may be added as well. Depends on whether or not we get a Martins. They would be suitable as transport cages or parts to make larger cages. One might work as a quarantine cage. I'll update this post when or if they are available.

Bumping this thread so it won't switch to page 2. These cages are still available and I also have a variety of bird cages available that would make good cage extensions or cage parts for other setups.
I'm interested in both but would probley end up only being able to afford one. Does the 10 gallon come with the tank ? or just the top?.
No, it wouldn't come with the tank. The tank alone would make the shipping a lot more, that and it would probably get broken in transit. They couldn't even get a statue I made to Florida without breaking it so I don't have much faith in them lol

The tank topper would be able to fit in the same box with the other cage so shipping wouldn't be that different if you had both sent at the same time.

Remember though, that the tank topper with a 10gallon wouldn't be large enough for permanent housing. It's just for a couple youngesters or adults short term.

a 10 gal tank is only like 10-15 bucks at a pet store!
These cages are still available.
We are adding our huge cage now. It is large enough for 12 rats. It needs further altering to be perfect, but it'd work very well as it. It has the two original plastic shelves and 4 pwoder coated metal shelves that fit inside. The cage folds down for easy storage and rolls on wheels at the bottom.

It is a Midwest ferret or cat cage.

It is the black powder coated cage in the back. We are asking $85 and shipping is available at buyers expense.

We are also trying to sell the light blue parakeet cage in that picture. The bottom pan was altered to fit inside. It has three doors on the front, one on the right side and the top could be altered to be a flip top lid. It is not large enough to make a permanent home for a pair of rats, but it makes a great extension. Asking $20. Shipping available on this as well, at buyers expense.
