I have 2 mouse cages....I thought that maybe i could join them together because my dad wont let me get another cage....The 2 mice cages are about average size....Do you think that would be enough room for 2 rats?

Depends on what you mean by 'average size' and 'mouse cage' :( Do you have dimensions on them? Are they solid walled? Fish tanks? Wire? Some people keep mice in tanks that are much too small for rats, even with two joined together.

I had told you before on your welcome post that each rat needs two square feet in the cage.

For two rats, it needs to be either 24"x12"x24" or 24"x24"x12" (lengthXwidthXheight). Or, more preferrably, bigger than that! The more space, the better. :)

No.

PLastic is a horrible cage for a rat, they will most liekly chew throguh it anyway.

Get another cage, maybe a SuperPet cage on sale in the newspaper or Craigslist?

Hamster cages aren't big enough for one rat. The two cages combined won't be big enough for two.
