My mom noticed earlier this evening that my youngest girl was coughing a bit. She said it progressivly got worse, it sounded like it came from deep in her throat. But when I got home she seemed to be fine, and she hadn't coughed since. But she almost sounds like, when she breaths, there's just something different.

I was just wondering if they do get colds, or if I should start talking to my vet? I did take the others away from her until I figure this out, I don't want everyone getting anything.

Rats can get ill just like humans can (although sometimes it takes different bacteria / virus / etc to do so).

Its always a good idea to see a vet if you think your animal is getting sick

i think my ratties are getting a cold their lil noses are cold n wet lol they are so sweet they will sit in a line watching the twinkling xmas lights then suddenly sneeze we got their xmas pressies yesterday
