One of my rats is about 5 weeks old. Can he have fruits, veggies, and treats just like older rats? Will it upset his stomach or anyhting? I know with rabbits that when they are babies they can't have friuts, veggies, or treats as it can give them diarhea and upset stomachs. Please let me know! :)

I had a litter of 12 once after receiving an already pregnant rat, and the babies quickly followed suit after mom eating fruits and veggies and such, I didn't notice any problems although I would refrain from feeding them anything acidic as that could probably easily upset a young ones tummy.

I fostered a rescue and her 13 babies once and they happily ate fresh foods. Refrain from too much fruit as it can cause upset tummys - feed lots of greens like kale, brocolli etc. Also with young baby try give a little extra protein in the form of egg etc..... hope that helps :):):)
