I have a plastic cat carrier that i've modified with hardware cloth, but im wondering about those like purse looking carrier made of fabric, could I use one of those for my girls? or would i have to modify? could i even modify it?
I've got 2 girls, we'd be going to my grandmas its like an 8 hour car ride, I do have a temp cage there but cant exactly bring them in their critter nation. im more wondering if they'll chew the fabric in that time
Oh 8 hour car ride? That's quite long and the fabric carrier will definitely be chewed by that time. They'll need some moving around space. If it was only an hour car ride it would have worked, but unfortunately 8 hours would be difficult on them.
i dont think im gonna get one of the fabric ones, my girls are likely to chew right threw it @kelsbels I'll send you some pics of my modified cat carrier id you'd like ^_^
I have a small pet porter brand carrier that I carry my girls back and forth from work and home. The ride is about 8 minutes. Sometimes I put them in there while I clean the cage, maybe 20 minutes. They've already chewed the little holes in the crate. I have to really keep an eye on them because in no time they will be able to chew their way out. I'd love a small metal frame cage for transporting. I don't think the soft ones will work and especially on longer journeys like yours.
Ah nice! That would work much better on a longer trip.
