Hi does anyone know if rats can be washed?

Rats can be bathed, gently, with puppy, kitten, or baby shampoo, but care should be taken not to get soap in their face or water in their ears.

My girls would rip me to shreds and hate me forever if I gave them a bath. Rats are fairly clean creatures... they're obsessive groomers (mine are anyways) and they don't really get dirty or smell. I personally like there natural smell, they almost smell sweet. If they ever need cleaning or there tails look a little dirty I use a kitten wipes on them. The aloe and lanolin keeps there coats soft and shiny and they smell good too. Just keep up with cage cleanings and they should take care of the rest.
