So I was interacting with one of my rats, Chunt, today, and she has this bad habit of grabbing onto my shirt and chewing holes if I let her. I heard that exaggerated kissing noises sound like an injured rat so I tried making one the next time she grabbed my shirt. I was hoping she would think she was hurting me when she grabbed my shirt so she'd stopped. Unfortunately, I accidentally made it a little too loud than how I wanted and it scared her back to her cage. I got her to come out again and she didn't grab my shirt this time but I don't know if it was because I was too loud or if my plan actually worked? And now I'm worried that have now lost trust with both my rats (concerning Usidora in a different incident concerning escape and dogs)

I am sure she wiil be ok,she will get over it!thats a good idea to make that noise. If they start chewing my clothes I usually gently grab their snout and steer them away whilst saying NO,they usually get the hint eventually.

Oh thank goodness, I was worried because it's hard enough trying to regain Usidora's trust. Without Chunt giving her some courage to come to the cage door, I would have lost hope altogether. 😥😣
