I know most people just use the liquid echinacea and put a dropper full in the rats' water bottles... but I was wondering, could I dissolve 1-2 capsules in the water instead?
I feel like capsules are more stable than liquids.

I wouldn't put it in their water because then you don't know how much they are actually in taking.

I get the liquid in cherry flavoured and mix it in with a piece of mushed up banana and my rats honestly don't notice the difference.

If anything, try mixing the proper dosage of the capsules in some banana or baby food or something like that and see how that works for you :)

Echinacea capsules are filled with powdered herb, not a water soluble powder. The liquid is made with extract. If you prefer to use the capsules, then I agree that adding it to a soft food is better than adding it to water.
