Are you generally able to buy doxycycline over the counter at vets? I just don't want to have to pay for the entire check up just to get the medicine when I already know the problem... When I first took Blaze it was 90 dollars for 2 weeks worth of doxycycline, the appointment, and 3 weeks worth of benydryl. Most of it was for the appointment if I remember correctly...

If your vet has seen the patient for the problem before they should have no problem refilling the medication for you without needing another visit. Call them and ask?

As said, if you are an established client, and this patient has been seen and prescribed for prior to this, a phone call ought to do it.

Be forewarned that it may be difficult and pricey to get the Doxy, due to the recent shortages.
