My fat rat, Clover, seems to be having an issue with her skin being dry. I'm not overly shocked by this - We're in Virginia and when it gets cold, it seems to dry out everyone's skin. Is there something I can do to help her with it? Some sort of moisturizing bath? Thanks!!

When it comes to veggie oil, is there a way to do it? Or just a little on the fingers and run into the skin?

i dont like to actually put oil on them because in my experience, the rats tend to go a little nutty licking it off of each other and and dust from bedding/other debris can cling to it but you can dip some small pieces of bread in olive oil and feed in to them. i did this for my hairless rats and it seemed to work from the inside out. my hairless girls got very dry and this helped a lot. you may want to actually toast the bread first to prevent choking. (i dont know if theyd actually choke on bread but i just did it as a precaution)
