Epoxy coated?

I know that galvanized steel is no good, and powder coated is, but I haven't heard anything about epoxy coating. I see it fairly often in reference to ferret cages. Is it better/worse or on par with powder coating?

My friend recently got me a nice cage for my girls (24"W, 24"L, 36"H), but I forgot to mention that the bars needed to be coated, so it was just regular steel. I spray painted it and the floors and ramps are well covered, but I know it won't last forever. So I'm in the market for a new cage and I don't want to have to be again for a long time, which is why I want to be sure about the epoxy coating ^_^

um, i think epoxy is basically the same as powder-coating, although the process may not be exactly the same. you can double-check me, but i'm sure it's better than galvanized, so it's at least a step up. :D
