Just wondering--could two adult female rats live in a feisty ferret or is the bar spacing too big even for an adult? I'm just exploring my options and the Feisty Ferret is only a little more expensive but much larger than Prevue Hendryx's cage for smaller animals. I'm really happy with my cage from them for my sun conure.

Bar spacing is 7/8 in

My girls can get out of the FF, so I only use it for my grumpy older boys. But I also have rather petite girls. Having any girls in it would make me nervous though.

You could always wrap it in hardware cloth. Doesn't look great, but at least you're positive of no escapes.

Did some comparison shopping and realized that despite appearances the SCN actually affords more space than the Feisty Ferret so I'm going with the former instead. According to the cage calculator the SCN can hold more rats!
