Hmm.... the second picture looks like what people have described to me as beige. Can't see well enough to tell if there are any markings or not. Those creamy colors are a problem for me. Mine has black eyes but a really light cream color. No idea what he is either.
The third pic would be an agouti hooded. I'm not sure if that would be called mismarked or not because of the stripe ending an little early.

these pics are a little better. They are pet shop girls so I guess they might have poor genetics. If anyone would like to take any guesses that would be great. They're 9 weeks and havent had any visible probs so far.

Also what kind would Poppy (hooded) be if she had a silvery grey hood? Is that a healthy type?

that would be a silvered blue. depending on how dark the "grey"would make it either a russian or american blue. i think there is another varity of blue as well but i can't remember the name of it.

as for the colors of your rats. poppy is an aqouti mismarked hooded and from the discrption of lola and what i can see i would say she's a champange. its pretty much a light beige with ruby eyes (or maybe it was pink)... if she's not a champange then she's a normal beige. there's a name for a black eyed beige too but i can't remember it right now. if i com across it again i'll post bakc with the proper name for that as well.

Wow thanks :)

Well. clean bill of health. Vet very nice, she checked I had information on rats and said what good pets they are (better than hamsters!). She said to hold off on spaying to see how they develop. Its a little practice but seems very proffessional I'll def go back there :)

Lola had fun up antill the bumpy bus home but Poppy wee'd everyware when the vet picked her up and spent the whole time in her box.
An old lady on the bus thought I had a terapin-she made a face when I said rats but she seemed surprised when she saw Lola and was all interested :)
