Took Gustav out to the pet store for the first time.
He was just eating it up! All the new smells, and people who wanted to pet him and fawn all over him.

At first he stayed in my hood, but after a kid asked to pet him and gave him a sweet little head scratch, he started staring at every person that walked by wanting them to pay attention to him. I think he's figured out that he loves being the center of attention. All the way home he was bruxing loudly and his eyes were boggling like crazy.

Anyone else take their rats out with them?

Lots of us do :) I took mine out just today! These little girls buying a hamster loved her and kept giggling whenever they saw her. I think if their mom hadnt been so against the tails, maybe they could have been persuaded to get a rat instead

What happens I something spooks them and they escape :s. Sorry I'm just use to my two very timid boys at the moment who would run away and bolt across the floor at the sight of everything. I presume once they 100% trusted me like my boys I had years ago if they were scared they would just snuggle into me!
