What are the benefits of giving garlic to rats and how much to give and how often?

What are your experiences with this? I've read that it's beneficial in lots of ways so I have my girls a tiny piece each and they are it so quickly haha.

I honestly don't think there are any benefits to garlic or if it's even okay to give them..
