Every time I put my hand in the cage to get them out, they go in the corner and hide. I try to be really calm, and I always pick them up from below, but they are still scared. I just got them on saurday, so I guess they're just not used to me.

Any advice on how to get my rats to get used to my hand?

Pick them up and hold them for twenty minutes a day, rats tend to be trusting and most (not all) get used to people handling them. They do learn the difference between people too, one of my boys wont squeak when I pick him up but will when my boyfriend does.

I let them sit on me, crawl through my clothing or sit on my lap

Hows your new ratties doing??? Is their fear becoming reduced????
Yeah, they are both starting to get comfortable with me, I've been putting then in my sweater while they're sleepy, and they cuddle up to me, its so cute. I put up some pictures of one of my rats, Pixie, trying to sleep in my pocket. :D
