Some time this week I will be going to a breeder to hopefully bring home some new babies but I'm super nervous I'm not sure if I will be getting babies that are a few weeks old or a few months old. My rat Lilly is around 7 months would it be okay to get younger rats or around the same age rats as her? I'm really worried any comforting advice would be very helpful!

Thanks in advance!

If you got babies 5-6 weeks old and quarantined them for the necessary 2 weeks while bonding with them, they would just about be the 8 weeks or 2 months old when you were ready to introduce them which is a good age to introduce youngsters to adult females. So, just about any age that is properly weaned will be the right age for intros by the time quarantine is over. If you would prefer or happen to find older girls that appeal to you, that would be fine, too.
